Today during our Google Meet, we learnt to visualise what we read by drawing an image of a robotic creature described in the text. It was fun and challenging at the same time but we worked together and created our fantastic drawings!

Thinking of Celebrations

Celebration can be a fun and interactive part of our everyday lives. Understanding celebrations will help us connect and relate with different people, places, traditions, events and cultures. During our Google Meets, we shared our thoughts and ideas on Jamboards.

We watched a short video of an unknown celebration and discussed its purpose and parts. We hope to create our own celebration and have fun when we are back at school later this term.

Thanks Ms V and Elvis for visiting Room 9 today!

Ms V got Elvis a few months ago from a lady that couldn’t look after him anymore. He was in a very small cage with no place to sleep. 

Now Elvis is enjoying a 5 platform cage with a cube hammock, a cuddle sack and 2 hideouts where he can sleep and hide. He also has toys to chew and keep him entertained.

Elvis also loves watching TV. 

Elvis shows affection by rubbing his nose. When he does that, he is telling Ms V that he wants attention and cuddles. Also, he needs his cage cleaned every 2nd day because chinchillas are prone to illnesses.

They are difficult and expensive animals to have. 

Ms V loves butterflies! She showed us her pet butterfly with an undeveloped wing that she has been looking after. Ka Pai Ms V for being such a kind and caring person!
